All-round musical genius Thies Mynther – known for having worked as a musician, composer and producer with bands like Phantom Ghost and Chicks On Speed, as well as for having worked on various theater productions – has collaborated with Israeli theater artist Jason Danino Holt to create a musical examination of pornography in the era of its digital reproduction. For the occasion, they have assembled an illustrious ensemble of local and supra-regional showbusiness talents: Kampnagel’s Queereeoké late-night stars Dancing Sven and Danny Banany make their earlynight debut alongside Berlin singer, dancer and performer Jill Emerson and Hamburg’s music scene jack-of-all-trades Fee R. Kürten (who is touring internationally with her post-pop project Tellavision). Based on the biography of American ballerina and porn-chic queen Georgina Spelvin (“The Devil in Miss Jones”), they examine the pornification of society from the consumer’s perspective – a mixture of biographical confession, fictional role-playing and everything in between. – Kampnagel, Hamburg
Produced and arranged by Thies Mynther and Fee R. Kuerten at Fleet Street and Clouds Hill Recordings Hamburg, 2016.
